By downloading, installing, or using Carbon Vision ("the App," "our App," or "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Carbon Vision ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

Carbon Vision is a professional 3D printer monitoring and control application that provides direct communication with SDCP-compatible 3D printers over local networks. The App enables users to:

• Monitor real-time printer status, temperatures, and print progress
• Control print jobs including start, pause, resume, and stop functions
• Manage print files and printer settings
• View live video streams from printer cameras
• Access print history and printer diagnostics

2.1 Direct Communication Model

Carbon Vision operates using direct peer-to-peer communication with 3D printers via the SDCP (Smart Device Communication Protocol). The App does not require or use external servers for core functionality, ensuring enhanced privacy and security.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

3.1 Device Installation

Carbon Vision does not require user account creation. The App operates locally on your device and connects directly to printers on your network.

3.2 User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring your device meets the minimum system requirements
• Maintaining the security of your device and network
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Properly operating your 3D printing equipment
• Understanding the capabilities and limitations of your 3D printers

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

You may use Carbon Vision for legitimate 3D printing monitoring and control purposes, including:

• Personal 3D printing projects
• Professional and commercial 3D printing operations
• Educational and research activities
• Prototyping and manufacturing

5.1 App Ownership

Carbon Vision, including its source code, design, user interface, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Carbon Vision on your devices for the purposes described in these Terms. This license does not include the right to:

• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use the App for commercial distribution

5.3 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using Carbon Vision, including 3D models and print files. However, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and print such content.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations

7.1 Service Availability

Carbon Vision is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

We do not guarantee compatibility with all 3D printers or network configurations. SDCP protocol support varies by manufacturer and firmware version.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Property damage or personal injury
• Data loss or corruption
• Business interruption
• Failed or damaged prints
• Equipment malfunction or damage

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to Carbon Vision shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Carbon Vision and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your operation of 3D printing equipment
• Any content you create or print using the App

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may stop using Carbon Vision at any time by uninstalling the App from your devices.

10.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to Carbon Vision if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use Carbon Vision ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, and indemnification survive termination.

11. Updates and Modifications

11.1 App Updates

We may release updates to Carbon Vision to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add features. Some updates may be required for continued use of the App.

11.2 Terms Updates

Your continued use of Carbon Vision after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
